Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Told off a telemarketer last night...

Got a call from the DNC. I'm still registered as a Democrat, so I get calls every now and then. Anyway, the guy starts into his script about how to support Kerry in Ohio this last month leading up to the election. I told him to hold on a second, then prepared my wife for what I was about to say.

I got back on the line and said, "My father-in-law was spit upon when he returned from Vietnam, and I hold John Kerry personally responsible. Do you really want to have a conversation with me?"

He said, "You hold John Kerry responsible?"

I said, "ABSOLUTELY!!!"

Silence...

I repeated, "Do you still want to have a conversation with me?"

He said, "That's up to you, sir."

I said, "That's probably not a good idea."

He replied, "Thank you."

We hung up.

Upon reflection, I wish I would have kept him on the line. I would could have said much more, but I was actually shaking, I had become so furious. So, I calmed down, and finished dinner.

You should have asked him "why would I vote for a man that tried to seduce my wife two years ago when he was in town for the weekend?" I've tried things like that in the past with various callers, and I assure you it will bring a smile to your face when all you hear is "Umm, uh"
