Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Why are we not outraged anymore?

Yesterday I saw where one American was beheaded in Iraq. Today I here of another one.

I remember a few months ago this place was all up in arms about Paul Johnson and Nick Berg.

Have you forgotten?

Forgotten no, jaded yes. I have lost friends and comrades in the war on terror. If I lost sleep over any of them I would never be able to fuction. Occupational hazard.

Nobody has forgotten 4pt ,
like Frizzellr said it's not news anymore . This doesn't mean that we're not outraged , it only means that as these animals are caught one by one they're giving us one more reason to be stronger than they are .

And we are .

Who says we are not? Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I just read some of the news on cnn about these latest beheadings and I must say I'm sick to my stomach.I get so mad that I feel we should turn the middle east into one big crater if you know what I mean. But there are innocent poeple there too so that is not the answer.I cannot believe that these poeple can kill with such brutality.I cannot even imagine the terror and pain these men have gone through when all their trying to do is help. This is my advice that if your not in the ARMED FORCES don't go there.Lets all pray for these men and their families.

Many of us are outraged. We also have little say in bringing these murderers to justice or having them killed. I don't think it's an accurate comment to say we're not outraged anymore. At least not regular Americans. Now if you're referring to the media, they are only interested in what sells the best.

I don't think anybody has forgotten, I know I haven't. I do know though that these murders are aimed at shocking and demoralizing us to the point that we demand our government withdraw from the region. That would be a mistake. We have seen as bad or worse for nearly 40 years now with hijackers murdering people with bombs and bullets all over the world to gain attention and to shock us. It will take time, but they will be tracked down and dealt with. My only regret is that they can only die once and our troops and Law Enforcement folks don't deal in summary executions. The best thing we can do to send a message back to them is to stand firm with our troops and our President and not allow these monsters to win the physch war they are playing. When we are attacked again, we must stand firm, dig out and continue on without the recriminations and gnashing of teeth so often associated with these events.

Amen.

I don't have all the details of our work over there, but I sure would like to see a joint Special Operations mission with U.S. and U.K. forces to try and take out al-Zarqawi. Finding him is the hardest part of the job, but if we do, we need guys on the ground, not planes in the air. I can't imagine being in command of such an operation, but personally I think risking some of our best men is worth killing this animal. His death is most important to our victory in Iraq.
