It's quotes like this that need addressed with no remorse just well placed bullets. Why in the hell can't we find these SOB's and help them meet the god they love so much. Keep your powder dry and don't let it get to you too much. We are all, or at least most of us highly POed as well but since most of us are too old to re-up there isn't much to do about it directly. We can, however, do our bit simply by keeping ourselves educated as to what the threat is and being prepared to do something about it if the occaision calls for it. As for being prpared, I include trying to be aware of the various vehicles I normally see when I take my granddaughter to school and checking out rather closely those that are not familiar, including their occupants and what they seem to be doing. Same around utility buildings, dams, water treatment plants etc. I always carry a cell phone and a camera in case I do see something I am suspicious of. I don't carry this to any extreme like going looking for things, but just a heightened awareness of my day to day life. I also have a CCL and am usually well armed, but this has been the case for years and again I am not looking for trouble. I also have been trained in shoot/don't shoot situations and did maritime law enforcement work for years so please don't think of me as just another weirdo with a gun. Get to know your local LEOs and other emergency personnell and find out what you can do to help if a situation does develop and that should help make you feel a little better about the whole thing.
As far as our apparent lack of progress in tracking these animals down, bear in mind that nothing has been heard since 9-11 about the Seal Teams, the Special Forces Teams (SOG) or Delta Force. In a way I take comfort in this in that it tells me these guys are very quietly going about the business of tracking these animals to their dens and targeting them for elimination or actively taking them down.
I take quiet pleasure with the thought of those "Devils With Green Faces" targeting some rag head through the scope of his Barett .50 and smoking him from a thousand meters or so.
The Operators are doing their parts in a private war, trust me. I believe it is not public knowledge and media opportunities because of "martyr syndrome." Just like the sanctuary provided by the mosque in Fallujah. If (it would have been awesome) we would have imploded the building and killed all those inside -thousands of more subhumans would have been drawn to the cause by our actions.
However, I do believe we need to refocus on killing the cowardly bastards not on court dates and captures. Has anyone seen Man on Fire w/ Denzel Washington? This is the philosophy need to adopt to win this war. We need to forget rules or keep losing lives. I hope the gloves will come off after Bush wins the election. Start the draft ramp up troop strength and bring an end to the extremists. If your are extreme Anti-American you are a security risk and will be killed. Plain and simple.

I am Canadian. Alot of Americans are upset with my country because our leaders chose to stay out of this. I would like to say first, I offer my condolanses to all those hurt by these tradgeties. Second, I would like to offer my support and thanks to all those over there who are fighting for freedom. I belive in the cause, and hopefully one day, our leaders will open their eyes and get their asses in gear too. I can only hope they find these animals soon, and let them suffer a slow, lingering death. Then they too can force their families to watch them die.

14Mercs, I agree that America needs to start taking out more of these terrorists. There are a lot of things America should do differently in Iraq but pulling out isn't one of them. We need to take these criminals head on and wipe them out. Until the vast majority of Iraqis are free from these criminal and terroristic attacks, it will be extremely difficult to impliment and finish the various rebuilding projects and to have true and open elections.

This thought popped into my head. How many successful stories are out there where someone was successful in protecting there families because of a gun.
