It almost seems ironic, but Russia could become one our best allies in the war on terror. We'll have to hear more about Putin's goals and plans first, though.

Well when they first went into Checnya and blew up Grozny he took a lot of heat from the west that is for sure. I guess he is referring to us taking in a rebel leader and granting him political asylum. If both parties US and Russia were involved and cooperated fully it would be a bleak day for terrorists worldwide. Lets see what develops.

Oh, they're well on their way to dictatorship at the present rate. The thing that really strikes me is how many weapons and gear the terrorists get from Russian sources, both directly and indirectly. From Kalashnikovs in jihadi hands to nuclear and military systems used by the Axis of Evil nations.

Now that Russia's feeding hand has been bitten, maybe they've learned their lesson.
