Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Why is it?

The democrats on here that claim to be pro-gun say Bush is anti-gun and the democrats that are'nt ashamed of their stance on guns and are openly anti-gun say that Bush is pro--gun and he himself is keeping the AWB from being renewed, Someone is not telling the truth, He can't be both. Is this just more spin from the demmies or what?

I suspect Bush would sign that extension if it came to his desk, but there are a lot of Congress people who know it would cost him a loty of votes if it got to his desk and he signed it, so they decided NOT to let it get there. Whether he asked them to do this is a moot question!!

Personally I believe that there isn't a politician in this country above the office of Dog Catcher that isn't anti-gun. Given an opportunity any one of them would outright ban the private ownership of anything more powerful than a beanshooter. Politicians know that the Second Ammendment was included in the constitution for one reason and one reason alone, to allow the people to protect themselves from the government. We can't trust any of them.

I agree, there is not many politicians that are as pro-gun as the pro-gun people are on here, but thats not my question, the question is why do the died in the wool anti-gunners claim that Bush is blocking the AWB from being renewed then you have some on here that claims there is no difference between Bush and kerry on gun issues, The ones calling Bush anti-gun such as micheal barnes with the brady bunch would much rather see kerry elected than Bush re-elected, if there is no difference between them why would him and the brady bunch along with every other anti-gun organization be endorsing kerry.

Micheal barnes and the Brady bunch are liars, so I'd say they are lieing when it comes to Bush. He isn't blocking the AWB being renewed. How could he block it?

Has Bush ever said he would veto the bill if it hit his desk?

NO , but I have never heard him personally say that he would sign it either.

Tell us one thing he has done to push this bill forward, don't you think if he wanted it on his desk that he would be pulling some shots to help get it there?
