I'd vote for Pres. Bush early or absent tee and take my wife on a surprise trip out of state on election day. When I got back, I'd make sure she got some counciling and maybe get her to a head doctor to see if she has a brain tumor pressing on the lobe that makes decisions.

Cougar,

Interesting question, because my wife is still hedging towards Kerry...me thinks...

We are/were both registered Independents, so there is no party affiliation.

As a gun-owner and somewhat a "tightwad" (as she often says ) she understands why I will be voting for GW.

Her being a woman, and the DNC stance on pro-choice and "liberalism", I understand some of her concerns and her hedging towards Kerry. I think she has voted Democratic in every election since she could vote, hence this would be a big switch.

So far, there have been some pretty interesting discussions. She was, however, much more impressed with GW & his speech, and his ideas, than with Kerry's acceptance speech. She also reiterated that it would have been nice to see how GW could have administered the US without 9/11, then we would have a better handle on how good of a domestic President he really is/can be...

The debates should be fun in the household this Fall

I wouldn't do a thing about it if my wife decided to vote differently than me. We have never agreed on everything and we have, on occassion, voted for diffrent candidates for president. We've been married 29 years....we'll last through many more elections, God willing, and that will be true whether we vote alike or not. There are bigger fish to fry in life than making my wife think like me....ain't gonna happen all the time...in fact, when was the last time I heard.."you're absolutely right honey.......?"

Cougar, Although I am not married my feelings are that an individual should vote for the candidate of their choice. If I were married, although voting for Bush myself, I would enjoy the perhaps heated debates with my partner. Hopefully they would choose to vote for Bush....if not it would be their choice. Sometimes you just have to agree to disagree.
In all the years my parents were married.....they never shared their voting choices with each other.

i would take her right into the bedroom and adjust the elastic in her bloomers cause they would have to be way to tight if she was thinking like that

She's free to vote for the candidate of her choice. I wouldn't want her to vote for Bush if it was only because of me. I will vote for Bush and she will do what's right for her. By the way - she's told a few people that Kerry "skeeves" her.

I would laugh because my wife would be yanking my chain. I am blessed with a wife who thinks and believes like I do which is one of the reasons we're still married after tough times and big problems to work through. I do think that a presidential vote is not a good reason to tear a marriage apart though.
