Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default terrorist attack before election??????

Does anyone feel like me, that there is a strong possibility of one or more attacks just before the elections?

I see a pattern in other countries such as Spain where they changed the outcome.
It is obvious that the terrorist would rather have Kerry as President.
That should tell a lot of fence sitters and liberal "non thinkers" something.

Yes Could be .
And the date 9/11

The 9/11 event was suppose to happen on the bombing of the navy ship USS cole day.

I saw where the liberal media twisted chenys words right around about there being ANY terriosts attack tho....the /liberal media works in odd/weird ways.

But some think im weird too.But what some is called normal that i see, glad im not.

Kerrys sensative war on terror & him maybe geeing in worrries me some& my family- moslty those not close by.

Sure, it's a possibility. The feds have been considering how best to prevent such an attack since the Madrid bombings. I just hope we capture any intelligence during the planning stages so we'll be ready in the right place at the right time.

Yesterday's airing of the video by al-wasari--or whatever that idiot's name is, may pre-shadow another terrorist attack. It's more than a little suspicious that it shows up just a couple days before 9/11 especially when you consider that these videos are sometimes the "go ahead" signal. Even with law enforcement doing everything in our power to keep people safe, there remains--and will always remain "soft targets." There is no way to prepare for every possible terrorist attack, but I think President Bush has done a pretty good job so far--I think there have been a lot of planned attacks thwarted by his leadership in the war against terror.

Yes, but the people are already divided--no terrorist attack is necessary. I'm no psychic, but I bet that Bush would continue to lead Kerry after a terrorist attack. He's in a position to respond with force, and there's no doubt that he will do so.

Of course Bush would respond, he'll be president at the time of the elections. But here's a good question that just popped into my head.. Where and who will we repond against if attacked in Oct. or Nov. 04? Will we invade Bin Laden's Stronghold in Afghanistan? Will we invade Iraq? Seriously, where would we go next? (This is not a partisan question - I'm getting sick of that crap)
I would hope the response would be aimed at wherever the attack was orchestrated from. President Bush promised to root them out wherever they lived and this would fall into that category. While our intelligence community is not and cannot be omnipotent, I'm sure they have at least an idea of what is going on in the world of terrorism and regardless of the best efforts of some members of congress to the contrary, keep some of it from the press.

Coastie,

I think you hit the nail on the head with the last half of your statement. Whenever we see reports about captured terrorists, usually about every 6 months, the list is quite impressive. The government appears to be apprehending terrorists in almost all major US cities, whenever they get good intel, and we the people oftentimes do not even hear about it on the evening news or read it in the major papers.

On one hand this is good, on the other it would be nice to be kept appraised about terrorists working in our "backyard"...

If not one large attack, numerous smaller one done in unison that strike at the heart and soul of our country. Hopefully not our children as in Russia.

Pick a date? For those thinkers among us it is October 23rd. Now who here can tell me the significance of that date?

Those that struck in Russia had stored explosive and other items at the target site in advance. In some other country that I can not recall at this moment, the local police found a cache of such in a building and believe it was in preparation of an attack at that site. The strategy could be in place in in the USA right now.
