Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default What will GA & other liberals have to say....

after reading this? http://abcnews.go.com/sections/Polit..._040909-1.html

Here is a little of what one of the best document analyst in the country had to say about these supposed documents:

Quote:
"These documents do not appear to have been the result of technology that was available in 1972 and 1973," said Bill Flynn, one of country's top authorities on document authentication. "The cumulative evidence that's available "¦ indicates that these documents were produced on a computer, not a typewriter:"

Among the points Flynn and other experts noted:

The memos were written using a proportional typeface, where letters take up variable space according to their size, rather than fixed-pitch typeface used on typewriters, where each letter is allotted the same space. Proportional typefaces are available only on computers or on very high-end typewriters that were unlikely to be used by the National Guard.
The memos include superscript, i.e. the "th" in "187th" appears above the line in a smaller font. Superscript was not available on typewriters.
The memos included "curly" apostrophes rather than straight apostrophes found on typewriters.
The font used in the memos is Times Roman, which was in use for printing but not in typewriters. The Haas Atlas "” the bible of fonts "” does not list Times Roman as an available font for typewriters.
The vertical spacing used in the memos, measured at 13 points, was not available in typewriters, and only became possible with the advent of computers.
Will there be an apology? Some how I doubt it, please prove me wrong!

Given the state of the networks believability today, if I were a network executive I would be launching a very public hunt for the source of this and other documents. I would then verify it in a highly visible manner or upon its being proven false, fire whoever was responsible for it being brought out. Dan Rather and the rest of the talking heads must, somehow, be brought to understand that they could be replaced by almost any person able to articulate the English Language so the average person can understand the words being spoken, if they are not unpleasant to look at, so much the better but this is not a major concern. The English have a very good system for bringing this home, over there they are known as "News Readers"

Wow.... I read all the articles and have seen the "questionable document". Yeah, right..... Stupid libbies!!! [:@] Superscript "th" did NOT exist on typewriters back then! It's as "F"ake as the "F" in John "F'ing" Kerry! [:@]

Like someone said earlier, when this breaks out all over, Kerry is DONE!

The night this broke, the other networks buried it about 10-12 minutes into the news. Of course dan blather lead off the news with this story. He had the stone cold look of seriousness on his face and tried to impart a sense of "it's over for Bush" with the way he presented it. It totally dominated the first 5 minutes of programming.

The next night, I saw my wife totally go off---and she's tough-- after they told about how kerry has tanked and WITHOUT TAKING A BREATH started into the allegations about President Bush. The absolute, over-the-top, obvious, libera extreemist viewpoint given each night by the network news has gotten so out of hand it's hard to watch it.

I have not watched Blather/Jennings/Brokenjaw in quite a few years. I would rather watch no news at all than to listen to their endless, mindless Liberal babbling. At least there is Fox News to watch if you have cable. Outside of that, I listen to Rush, Shawn, Glen and other talk shows on the Radio!!

Is it NOT surprising that the powers that be have "created news" to make it fit their agenda? It is not the first time and certainly will not be the last. You want to hit them where it hurts? Quit watching! When their viewing audience shrinks, their advertising funding will shrink and they won't be able to afford the overpriced talking heads they have "reporting" the "news" at present!!!

Bill

I still remember the look on Rathers face the night he reported that the SC had stopped the re-re-re-counting of ballots in Fl., It was really hard for him not to break down in tears.

He just kept going on how the SC had really handed the democrats a devastating blow. He was so choked up he could hardly speak.

Did you know that he has been involved with fund raisers for the democrat party, and here he is a news anchor, WOW.
