Saw a blurb on the news today where Cracker Barrel resturants have agreed to pay out big bucks--8.-something million because of some customers claiming they were descriminated against. I'm wondering just how far I could get with something like that? I've been in resturants and it was made very obvious that I was not welcome there. One pizza chain in particular comes to mind. It hasn't been every one of those resturants, but it hasn't been just one or two of them either. It was places that where the employees were a particular race and anyone that came in and was of that race were seated immediately, their orders taken asap, and served quickly--while my date and me were made to wait ridiculously long times. Seeing several folks come in after we did and getting their food before we did, while we couldn't even get our drink refilled, made it very obvious on several occasions. In case you are wondering why I didn't make a scene or just leave, my date begged me not to. So, to save her the embarrassment, I just put up with it. Now I just won't go there--simple solution I thought. Never occured to me that I could have made out like a bandit........but it's highly unlikely I could have ever gotten anything but laughed at for filing such a lawsuit. Not my style anyway. Ticks me off all the same.

Well, some people feel victimized and want the so-called "offender" to pay for the humiliation. This seems petty and against the American spirit to me, though. In a free market society, we're all empowered to choose and patronize another business if we're dissatisfied with the first one. Let market forces correct the problem, not frivolous lawsuits.
Yes im sure they dont have much to worry about from a law suit from you for a few reasons.
If you stop going there it will make no diffence - unless maybe they know why you stoped going there.
It is much like the hate crime laws- To make some persons 'speical" you then have to make the rest less so .
It is fine in somes eyes as retrabution & payback or those that think its righting some wrong.
It rights nothing, it makes more victims of the same things the laws where said to stop.
Should we dole out medical attention the same way they do the federal tax payer dollers used to support such dicrimitory laws?
It is ussally ok intill it is yourself or a loved one who suffers under such laws& polices.
I know my son(and the rest ) is as good as the man who is considered better/special because he lets other men have rectal/anal& oral sex with him, while doing the same himself.Or based on skin color/race.
I would like my mule& 40 acres too.
And it dosnt suprise me its always the liberal/democraps who support such laws & polices & bs lawsuits.
