Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Saw President Bush Today

My wife and I were volunteers at the President Bush rally today in Erie,Pa. We were working security at Veterans Stadium when President Bush, Laura and The Twins came to speak to a crowd of an estimated 20,000 people. That is the largest crowd ever in Erie for any political figure and I feel the momentum is really going in our favor now. President Bush spoke for about 30 minutes and Laura spoke before he did for about 7 minutes. The girls didn't speak today.

Anyway I'm proud that I was able to lend my services to his campaign and happy that my wife got to about 8 feet from President Bush. She said she got got some great pictures, but we have to develop them I had the digital with me but I was about 35 yards away working the 50 yard line.

I only had to have one protester removed and I didn't see or hear of any other incidents. There were about 100 or so protesters a block away , but they were a non factor and were overall peaceful. I had a great time.

I will give you actual numbers when the paper lists them tomorrow.

I went and saw him this past monday in Taylor, MI. Laura was also with him, and Bo Schembeckler(sp?) introduced him. We got there about 3 hrs. early, and there were a lot of people already there. I kept looking behind me watching them "stack up" as time went on. Pretty soon all I could see was an ocean of people and Bush signs. It was one of the most energetic events I have ever been to. I was also encouraged by the number of young (18-25 yr.) people I saw. Maybe there is still hope
I don't want to be overly optomistic, but I will also agree that Kerry is on the downhill slide. The latest polls, from Time and Newsweek, both have it Bush:52, Kerry:41.
