Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default NRA support

I have heard over and over on here from a few liberals that the NRA was biased and supported the Republican party only, well heres the breakdown on there support, looks like they support about 1/3 democrats, so no more about the NRA being for the Republicans only.

NRA Support

Chris W. Cox, chief lobbyist for the NRA, says the NRA plans to spend "somewhere in the ballpark of 20 mil" in this election cycle.

The NRA will back about 50 Democratic House candidates and "well over 100 GOP House candidates."

Cox added that the average donation to the NRA"s Political Victory Fund is in the $15-20 range, and said the NRA will work tirelessly to defeat John Kerry, who "has voted against us for 20 years."

He added that Kerry"s attempts to pose as a big sportsman amount to "borderline fraudulent repackaging."

Cox said he would not telegraph his punches but promised "the kitchen sink" to make sure gun owners know where candidates stand.

I wonder if the ones on here that claim such things have ever thought of the NRA as supporting pro-gun politcians and getting the truth out about the anti-gunners such as kerry, When they still support their anti-gun person and bash a pro-gun organization, that should tell you alot about that person and where he or she really stands on gun-issues, Just like the voting record of the anti-gun politician, Both records of how they vote tell the truth. They are alot like the politcian they are supporting, wanting everyone to think they are something that they are not.

Right! The NRA supports ONLY those politicians, regasrdless of party, who support the 2nd Amendment! There are quite a few Republicans who aren't on our side at all, and the NRA gives them the grade they earn!!

The NRA is sort of like playing the game of chess. When you play poker, you hide your cards from your opponents. When you play chess, all of your assets, all of your liabilities are right out in the open for the world to see, and everyone knows what your objective is. So it is with the NRA. They want to protect the rights of individuals to keep and bear arms. No secret. If you are a politician, if you support these gun rights, the NRA will support you, if you don't support these gun rights, the NRA will NOT support you.
