I don't like kerry at all. He caused me to be spit upon and insulted by what he said when he came home. I further believe his entire, but very short tour, in Nam was well planned out by him to the degree that is possible.
Further, his injury from the round he fired from an M79 grenade lancher should not be considered a combat wound. Intended or not it was self inflected. No man writes himself up for medals either, kerry did just that.
I don't have enough info on his other injuries to intelligently comment on them.
All that being said, in combat the difference between death and life, between a minor injury and a missing limb is measured in millisecond and factions of an inch. Whether a man is shot through the heart or is grazed by a bullet is a simple fact of how he may have turned or tripped or spun at a given point in time. Whether a piece of shapnel is the size of a needle or as large as your fist when it hits or misses you is just by the grace of God.
That is why there is only one Purple heart, not degrees of them.

I here that the true professional might be around quite abit after Nov 2nd, maybe he can give some first hand experiences and a seminar or 2 in your area, until then you need to give it up LOL.
