Should knee and elbow pads be used? Should I wear flourescent orange on my rear end? How do I see through the underbrush while in the prone position?

Yes those pads are optional, but advisable

And orange is needed & the white flag he aways carrys( not sure why) As for seeing you must become proficent in iding animals threw the brush by there ankles& feet only. A skill only a few have like kerry.(somethings learned from the natives & jungle ppl of asia he lived with for many yrs as a youngman)
Hope he tells you about those rabid ground hogs that attack& sometimes try to mount you for there sadistic sexual pleasures.
So you see why only a few men can hunt this way kerry being one of them, ...maybe the only one ...brave & butch enough to endure such dangers& having the skills required.
He does wear the one piece undies with the big SK on them( SUPER KERRY)& has the custom made hair moose for just these type things- but those are seconday- to his highly polished outdoor skills& his baby soft hands he uses to comfort us after a hard day in the field.
sin cierly, E, fudaduck

P.s Someday he may right a book for us all on this type hunting. Or me " belly crawling polticans i have knowen& loved " Or how to get lower then a snake in the grass"
P,s,s Dont mention bushs in front of him- even rose bushs - he could have a brainshutdiwn/nurological fit ( Said to be trauma induced by all his many many serious wounds of the war yrs flooding back)[&o]
