Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Kerry Against Bringing Troops Back from Europe

No surprise that Kerry is against Bush in taking our troops out of post in Europe. These were set up in WWII and aren't strategic in the war on terror. Kerry says that we need to keep our allies happy.

That's funny stuff when you consider that Kerry has been putting commercials on tv declaring that he would be bringing jobs back to the USA.

Germany our ally? The only reason we had troops over there was to keep the soviets from overrunning Europe up until a little over a decade ago. I can't think of one major event where the Germans came to help us out.

Kerry is clueless.

Three weeks ago on "This Week" on ABC, August 1:

Kerry: "I will have significant, enormous reductions in the level of troops [in Iraq]. We will probably have a continued presence of some kind, certainly in the region. If the diplomacy that I believe can be put in place can work, I think we can significantly change the deployment of troops, not just there, but elsewhere in the world. In the Korean peninsula perhaps, in Europe perhaps."

Today, to the Veterans of Foreign Wars

Kerry: "And this hastily announced plan [of Bush's] raises more doubts about our intentions and our commitment than it provides real answers. For example why are we withdrawing unilaterally 12,000 troops from the Korean peninsula at the very time that we are negotiating with North Korea ,a country that really has nuclear weapons."

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm??????

I'd love for our troops to pull outta Europe tomorrow. I'd like it to hurt them as badly as possible. Ten years seems like a long time but I guess it takes a while to integrate all of those units into new military facilities in the US and other countries.

Kerry is a lunatic. I'm still banking on enough voters to figure that out within the next 2.5 months.

Actually Cougar , what original ideas has old Lurch come up with , none , nada. The only things ole Lurch talks about is how he is against anything Bush does no matter what it is Lurch will be just the opposite yet never gives any details to how he would do it different. Now he has flip flopped and says now he would still support going into Iraq knowing what he knows now. Lurch cant keep straight what he supports because he changes his mind on everything so often.

Thanks Charlie for that post. I was going to go find the story but you beat me to it! What the......? My kids grew out of that phase by age 12 or so. There are two other issues of late that irk me as well. Today, JK was complaining to the firefighters union in Mass. that Bush is using the Vets to do his dirty work. And it isn't fair that Bush is using "soft money" to smear his campaign. Right, wrong or indifferent, he has Dems that are doing the same thing. Don't throw stones in a glass house and finally, just the other day I heard him ranting and raving about changing the laws so we can go to Canada and buy cheap drugs. Now maybe I'm confused and we all probably would like cheaper prescription drugs, but are there Americans in Canada making these drugs? If not how is that keeping jobs at home?
