What political party are you most aligned with and why. no BS and spin, just your issues in order of importance. this is not a bush kerry spittin match, just a place to tell where you are coming from
Here is mine, i usually vote for the candidate that best meets these issues: prolife, frofamily, pro 2nd ammenment, fiscally conservative. while no one is ever the perfect candidate, IMO, i vote for people who are as close of a fit as possible. usually this is a republican, but not always.
99% of the time, a Republican...the other 1% of the time, I might vote for someone like Zell Miller.

First, I have to trust them. If I can't the rest is a waste of time. If I can then, pro life, lower taxes, trimming pork, term limits, wellfare to only those you truely cannot work and let business run itself. CONSERVATIVE is pretty much what it spells.

conservative right wing republicans...anti abortion, welfare for only those that are between jobs, anti drugs, pro gun, pro death penalty, strong on defense, against gay rights, pro small business...i wish rush limbaugh or sean hannity could be president...sean hannity especially..would solve all this world's problems..

I know I am pro drugs...whose with me.....I am against gay rights but all for equal rights. Pro gun, for social services, strong on defense, stronger for education
I am most aligned with the republican/far right but not too far right. I am that way because of my religion teaches against abortion and homosexuality, I am for harsher punishment of criminals, I am in FULL support of our troops, I am for the values of the Founding Fathers, I am for lower taxes, pro 2nd amendment, I am for people that you can trust, welfare for those inbetween jobs AND LOOKING FOR A NEW ONE, pro death penalty, pro economy, and I don't believe in a lot of the bullcrap that the leftwing idiots like to shove down our throats!
I think that sums it up purty good!

ANNOY A LIBERAL, work hard and be happy.
1. Political party most aligned with?
Republican. I like a lot of what the Constitutionalists say and some of what the Libertarians say.
2. Why?
I'm registered as a Republican because I agree with much of their platform and find that I can help select the final Republican candidates in the primaries and thus help influence the direction of the candidates and party in this manner.
As for reasons in order of priority, pro-gun, christian, pro-national defense, pro-military, anti-abortion, pro-death penalty, anti-drugs, pro-small business, in favor of cutting taxes (would like to see a flat tax), don't believe in gays or any other group getting "special rights," against gay marriage and believe in temporary workfare, not welfare.
I agree that no candidate is perfect or will ever believe in everything that I support. I feel like voting for 3rd party candidates is a waste of time and basically helps elect whichever major party candidate isn't running idealogically similar to that 3rd party candidate. I choose the candidate who comes closest to my beliefs and ideals.
Stuckinthereeds, a serious question out of curiousity. What do you mean by "pro drugs?" Are you just referring to marijuana, prescription drugs from Canada or all drugs should be legal?

Don't get me wrong. My comment was made in jest. I am very much against drugs. However, I do think this so called "drug war" is a joke. I think the U.S drug policy, specifically torwards marijuana is in need a huge overhall. We waste so much time and money handing out tickets (almost like speeding tickets) on people who have tiny tiny amounts of marijuana on them. In essance, it doesn't do anything and just wastes our resources. I have my own ideas on what we could do, but I'll save that for another topic
