Top dog Democrats such as DNC ringleader Terry McAuliffe and Sen. Tom Harkin have publicly embraced Michael Moore's factually challenged waste of celluloid.
John Kerry recently used Moore-generated scenes to smear the president.
But curiously, when more than 200 decorated veterans created a one-minute TV spot expressing their views on the Dem candidate's war record, McAuliffe, DNC and buds squealed for the White House to declare war on these "partisan liars."
Sources indicate that a character assassination campaign is planned against Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, timed for the release of the book "Unfit for Command."
A preliminary counterattack has already begun. It is taking the form of an e-mail campaign titled "Swift Boat Vets are Dishonest, Dishonorable, Unpatriotic Liars," and comes from a group that calls itself the "Patriotic Veterans for Truth."
David Brock's Web site asks, "Who is Jerome Corsi, co-author of Swift Boat Vets attack book?" as it slimes Corsi with cherry-picked quotes that are taken out of context.
The Left Coast Report says once again the libs' slogan appears to be, 'Don't let the facts get in the way of attacks.'

Well, it fits in with Kerry's mode since leaving Vietnam. He's been against the good men & women of the military @ every turn... He just now has the DNC & other President Bush-Haters to use strongarm bully tactics to try to shut these guys up & keep their story from getting out.
Its funny how the mas media takes Kerry's stories at face value- the stories kerry brings out whenever he is running for an office or reelection, but the corroborated stories of 200 people that were around Kerry during his service time are all liers whenever Kerry is up for an election.
I hope this time, Kerry is exposed for the scoundrel that he really is.[:@]

They have spent the last 18 months viciously attacking the President themselves and they want him to discredit the swiftboat vets--who aren't sponsored by Bush. What about moveon.org and the idiot movie and singing celebrities spewing lies about Bush? Or michael moore's lies? I don't see THEM denying any of those KNOWN liars.

Looks like Kerry and his supporters are true believers in the,"Turn the other cheek". As long as Bush and his supporters are the ones turning the other cheek so the Demo-gods can keep hitting it.
I'm honestly confused here. I haven't seen any of the ads mentioned here. Are there 2 vet groups going at each other here or am I just not getting it. If so, and both groups contain real vets, which vet is better than another vet?

This story has been the hot topic for the past 5 or 6 days. It seems Mr. Kerry can't get his facts straight. He stated on the Senate floor in 1986 that he remembered being on his swift boat in the waters of Cambodia on Christmas Eve/Day of 1968 and being fired upon by the Cambodians, the Khmer Rouge and the North Vietnamese. He also stated in an OpEd piece he wrote for the Boston Globe in 1979 that he remembered being on his swift boat in the waters of Cambodia those same days despite the fact that President Nixon had lied to the country, where have we heard that one, when he said we did not have forces in Cambodia.
The only problems with Mr. Kerry's statements are 1) Nixon was not President in December 1968, he was the President elect. LBJ was the President in December 1968. and 2) His swift boat was NEVER in Cambodian waters, let alone the dates he claimed. There's only one access to Cambodian waters, a river, and the US had PBRs positioned to prevent vessels from getting into Cambodian waters by mistake.
When asked about his statements and the fact that his senior in command said his statements were inaccurate, he said "I didn't make those statements." When shown the printout of the Congressional Record containing the quote from 1985 and of the OpEd piece from 1979, he stated "We'll have to research that and get back to you with our position on it."
As for the two groups of veterans, there are 9 that "served with Kerry" and are backing him. There are over 200 that "served with him" and oppose him. Of the 200, 60 worked together in the writing of the book Unfit for Command which the DNC is desparately trying to discredit. It contains too much truth that totally countermands MOST of what Kerry said about HIMSELF at the Democratic National Convention. The DNC wants the 9 to be able to speak, but the 200+, including 23 of the 24 officers for whom he worked, to be silenced. HMMMMMMMMMM!!!
Also, in Kerry's recent book, he now says he was located approximately 55 miles from Cambodia on Christmas day, 1968. He never retracted his lie, he just comes up with a new story for that day. Also, bear in mind that when he earlier said he WAS in Cambodia, he said that incident was "seared, .... seared in my memory." So he can't use forgetfulness as an excuse to explain away the contradictory stories. He truly is a LIAR, plain and simple. Whether you view the events in the 60's as important to the election or not, surely you should view the credibility of the presidential nominee as important in the election!!

Realisticly his service in Vietnam shouldn't be an issue - however, that is his basis for his campaign - "I'm a vet... blah blah blah". KERRY made the whole vietnam thing an issue, and once again, his failure to understand reality from the fictional "hero" he thinks of himself, has once again began to bite him in his backside.
My question is - are there any REAL Kerry supporters? Seems to me, there are those who dispise Bush and want him out, and seeing how Kerry it the dem's choice this cycle, they support him matter of fact w/out concern for his character, vision, or integrity.
I know alot of veterans and not 1 in support of kerry.
Why is the media so eager to believe micheal moore and not believe some true Americans, they take everything that moore says as the gospel but these 200 men are slime and a bunch of liars.
