Alan Keyes to run in Illinois

I like him, but he doesn't stand a chance. He's way to conservative in a liberal state. He's also vastly over-qualified.

But, there's other ammo against him. He's trashed "carpet baggers" for years. And he's got financial troubles/scandles.

At least someone is running, I guess.

he's facing a huge uphill fight, but he will definitely draw a sharp contrast to Obama

as an illinios voter you can rest assured he will not get my vote i think it is very wrong for someone to run for any elected office if they are not a resident of that state . don't like the other candidate but for that reasone keyes cannot get my vote

I like Keyes, I voted for him in the 2K primary. While he doesn't stand a real chance of election, he's a great spokesman for conservatism/libertarianism.

BobDHave to agree with you. I've heard Keyeys speak many times and he seems like a good man,but what he'd doing is no different then what Hillary did in NY.

who cares if he's not from the damn state? He's better than Barak Obama! he's a conservative. yeah, hillary did it. but do you want to risk another vote against guns and the things you believe in? Alan Keyes can express our views. Obama is going to vote against them and suppress them. Alan Keyes is a great guy. Vote Keyes guys, even if he aint from illinois. we need one more on our side. I would like to see JC Watts go back into politics...great guy there too

his stance on issues is not an issue to me . i do not think anyone should represent a state they do not live in . it is just wrong .sorry but our republican party dropped the ball on this one big time . it was not a new thing that jack ryan did it was known and the idiots put him up anyway . bad bad bad move so now in my eyes illinios has no republican in the running . send keyes a note and maybe he will come and run in your state

I only wish more people cared when it came to Hillary, hate the fact she's one of my Senators. People that represent a state should be from that state.
