What a Hoot!! Kerry Urges Terror Fight on Local Level Â*
I have to wonder exactly what Kerry thinks the American public has been doing since 9/11??? Sitting around with our thumbs up our rears, playing blind and dumb? Most people I know are far more alert now than they ever were and prepared as much as one can be. Leading normal lives to boot.......Duh, Mr. Kerry.....Why do you think so many new neighborhood watch programs have gone into affect since 9/11??
Perhaps he wants to fight/bring this battle to US soil, as opposed to where it is being fought?
And then his thoughts on the missles defense.....guess we are just supposed to get all of our troops home. Stick our heads in the sand, and wait for the first missle attack, perhaps even a nuke attack. So Kerry and his grand plans can shoot them down in route....
Gotta say Kerry and Edwards are true pieces of work..... mind boggleing to say the very least...[:@][:'(] Just my immediate thoughts after reading this article. What a bunch of hoey!! IMO

TRINIDAD, Colo. - Americans should do more to protect themselves against terrorism by setting up neighborhood watch groups, Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry said Sunday.
"If we do that to protect ourselves against vandals or a burglary, why would we not do it to protect ourselves against a terrorist?" Kerry asked during interviews with reporters aboard his campaign train.
Kerry, who was joined on the train by his running mate John Edwards, said that the current system of nationwide, color-coded alerts is confusing.
"We need a neighborhood watch kind of system so that we have a way to notify people, they know what they're supposed to do," Edwards said. "We shouldn't have millions of Americans, or hundreds of thousands, trying to figure out at 3 o'clock in the morning what they are supposed to do. They ought to know what they're supposed to do."
Kerry also said that he would continue research on a program to develop weapons to shoot down incoming missiles if he is elected.
"I believe in pursuing and researching and developing missile defense. I've supported missile defense research," Kerry said. But "I don't believe in rapid deployment of a system that hasn't been adequately tested. I will continue missile defense research, I will continue missile defense work, because it's important for the country."

Hey, that's an idea, look for odd behavior. Wow, how come nobody else thought of that. Like his other idea, talking with the UN nations. That's never been tried either. It was only in one of my dreams that Colin Powell ran the circuit prior to going into Iraq. These are Kerry's real ideas for fighting terrorism. And I ask myself why I fear a Kery presidency!

GA, There is much logic behind what I posted, perhaps you just can not see it. It would appear that Kerry thinks US citizens have been sitting on their thumbs rotating rather than becoming more aware, with his statement.... I felt I made that and my other point clearly . My statements are after all, only my opinions and we all know what those are like my friend....
