Gobbler is finding fault with George W Bush for waiting 20 minutes to react( leave the room of school children) after he was advised of the 9/11 attacks. Well seems John Kerry had trouble thinking for 40 minutes or until told to evacuate his building.
John Kerry recently was on Larry King Alive, and Larry King asked him, "Where were you?" -- because we asked this question yesterday. What did he do on 9/11? Where was he? And this prompted curious people to go find out where Kerry was, what he said he had done and, lo and behold, it was Larry King who asked him, and here's Kerry's answer. "I was in the Capitol. We'd just had a meeting. We'd just come into a leadership meeting in Tom Daschle's office looking out at the capitol. As I came in Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid were standing there, and we watched the second plane come into the building we shortly thereafter sat down at the table and then we just realized, nobody could think, and then boom, right behind us we saw the cloud of explosion at the Pentagon, and then word came from the White House that they were evacuating, and we were to evacuate, and so we immediately began the evacuation."
That's what John Kerry did on 9/11. "Shortly thereafter sat down at the table and then we just realized nobody could think, and then, boom, right behind us the Pentagon gets hit. So we were told to evacuate, and we evacuated." Okay, how long did they just sit there and think? It should be noted the second plane hit the World Trade Center at 9:03. So Kerry says we watched the second plane come into the building. He's talking about the World Trade Center there, so that happened at 9:03. The plane hit the Pentagon at 9:43. So by virtue of John Kerry's own words he and his fellow senators sat there for 40 minutes realizing, quote, "Nobody could think." That's what John Kerry -- using his own words, folks.
These are not "swift veterans for truth" words. These are not my words. These are not words put together by a Republican contributor from Texas. These are John Kerry's own words from Larry King Alive. I'm not sure which Larry King Alive appearance it was. So while Bush sat there for seven minutes, and I'm sure the Secret Service was securing things for his exit and making plans to get out and go handle the situation, Kerry and his doofus senator friends sat there and admittedly couldn't think for 40 minutes, and then when they got the word, when they got the order, to evacuate, they did

Oh and before you ask where that came from I got it from Rush's site. Now go ahead and say OHH well that explains it. No remember Kerry said it on Larry King and Rush just exposed it to us. And before you claim that "John Kerry is just a Senator and Bush is President. Find another argument.

the fact is, george (the president, commander in chief) waited 20 minutes to react to the united states being attacked because ehe had no clue what to do.
Well would you rather have him think about what to do, or to just make a rash decison and maybe really screw something up. At least he considered all the options. And in my opinion he did a great job.
OMG, This is really getting very tiresome, so much so that I will not even quote an above quote as it deserves not my time or anyone else's time to read again!!
Our President, in front of a grade school class did the very best he could do.....having the information he had just received! What was he supposed to do....panic a grade school of young children....panic his country, which was already in somewhat of a state of fear and panic after watching all of this on national TV, wondering where the next hit would be??? He stayed focused and calm.....and had resolve of what needed to be done. He did not act in panic or fear. If he was fearful he never would have gone back to DC, contrary to wishes from the SService. He showed some brass ones as far as this lady is concerned!!! Nuff said... He calmed me down when I heard him speak....although I was not panic stricken, I was scared as hell....
And for anyone that wants to say he was in shock....sure as hell he was, just as we all were!!! He is our commander in chief ( as such only human) ....Not God for cripes sake. There are some in our midst that need to have a reality check and get a friggin grip on reality!! Sheesh!!
Did'nt take him long to figure out what needed to be done and now the liberal pansies are on him for doing it LOL.
We have them gripeing about taking to long to act, now we have them gripeing about him acting at all, what the **** do they want?
They just hate him and would replace him with anyone, just as their slogan says, "anybody but bush", well I'm here to tell you that "anybody" would include bin laden himself. Total ignorance on their part.

So much has been attempted to be made over those "7 minutes," now it's being stretched to 20 minutes... Next week the President Bush haters will be saying 40 minutes, then 60 minutes, then??? In fact, during that time the President had his national security people analyzing what was happening, & in truth got "on it" quickly. Another piece of trash proffered by the Bush haters is fully exposed for the garbage it is...
the fact is, george (the president, commander in chief) waited 20 minutes to react to the united states being attacked because ehe had no clue what to do.
WTF this had to do with anything depends on your perspective. If you think remaining calm and not alarming children is a good course of action for the president, then it doesn't have much to do with anything about being a president. This would be considered trivial minutiae and a waste of one's time and effort.
If, however, you think the president as Commander In Chief should have taken some immediate action, the it might have a lot to do with "anything." If a President is held to that standard of taking some type of immediate (or at least sooner than 20 minutes) action, then a Presidential candidate should also be held to that same type of standard. After all, it isn't going to get any easier once you're President.
If you argue that the President doesn't have any real military service experience and John Kerry does due to his 4.5 months in VN and war medals, then you would expect more from Kerry also. Just depends on your perspective and what you think should better qualify an individual.
