Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Seven minutes of fear.

I just saw the footage of Bush when he was told "The country is Under attack".

The man looked like he saw a ghost.

All of this time I have heard that he didnt get right up and get busy because he was reading to the children. But he wasnt. The teacher and the children were reading, and Bush was following along. He just sat there with a distant look on his face. For gods sake he is the commander and chief, it is his job to defend this nation, but instead of reacting, he froze.

He then stayed in the building for another 20 minutes. As president he knows he could be a target, and he should have removed himself from a building full of children right away, instead of cowering for half an hour in it.

Nation under attack....Commander and chief. What part of that didnt he understand?

Is that what they said? I was under the impression that we didn't know for sure if the first one was an accident rather than an attack. I thought he was told a plane hit the world trade center, period. It is funny how the same people who said he knew it was going to happen describe his shock at hearing it. Sounds contradictory to me.

The first report to the pentagon was a single engine plane hit the WTC. But by the time the news got to Bush we knew it was a terrorist attack, and Bush was told, "The nation is under attack".

Shame on you all for criticising Bush's reaction to that horrible news.

He was trying to calm the children in the room by explaining the new doctrine of "Compassionated Conservanutisms and economation" -- not cowering from the fear of attack.

If he had really been running from danger, he would have fled to Alabama, got all coked and liquored up and joined the Air-National Guard.[&:]

I thought Bush was told before the second plane hit, and that we didn't know it was a terrorist attack until after that second plane hit. In any case, what would you have had him do in those few minutes, fire a missile at Afghanistan, catch the bodies of people who jumped out of the WTC? He responded much more decisively than Gore would have!

GA I just have one thing to say besides stating that a person with a room temperature IQ wouldn't even watch F@@@up 9/11. I am hoping Kerry gets elected and does away with the Patriot act and all the structure put in by Ashcroft, and he buries his head in the sand like Clinton did and further goes to the UN for help against these terrorists . If we get bombed under his watch he will be summarily impeached and you'll never have a Democrat in the WH for decades. Think about it for awhile. How can people be so gullible?

Elk, I never saw the moorer movie. I got my info from Fox News this morning.

Doug, I didnt say Bush could have caught the people jumping out of the towers. What i did say though is... As commander and chief you get up, find out what is going on, and try to defend the nation. You dont just sit there.

Lastly fight, if you come hunting, we will leave politics in our pockets.

WOW, GA, that has to be the absolute worst attempt I have ever saw not only from you but from any liberal in slamming Bush. I can't stop laughing, that is the absolute bottom of the barrel for stories I have ever saw.

Oh by the way , he has done alot more than any other president, cause we as a country have been under attack since about 71 by these thugs, and yes it was on our soil, and yes it was an act of war.

LOL and here you libbies are mad cause he went to Iraq so fast, I have heard over and over that we should have waited longer than 14 months and that Bush jumped the gun. You liberals are really running scared and stooping to levels unseen by human eyes, You'uns are plum pathetic. Keep on doing the stupid things you all are doing and it will insure that we will have Bush for another 4 years.
