Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default I'm so proud to support this country (???)

http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/040630/offshoring_jobs_5.html?

"General Electric Co., which offshores about 70
percent of its technology work, designs medical
equipment in its Chinese research center and studies
nanotechnology at a lab in India.

Motorola is hiring 5,000 researchers for a global
research and development center in Beijing, while
Intel employs hundreds of researchers at its Russia
Software Development Center in Nizhny Novgorod.

President Bush has largely avoided the touchy subject
in public appearances. Some of his economic advisers
have said that exporting labor to low-cost countries
will reduce business costs, boost corporations'
financial performance and thereby improve the U.S.
economy."

===========================================

"A report by an influential consulting firm is
exhorting U.S. companies to speed up "offshoring"
operations to China and India, including high-powered
functions such as research and development."

Bush's economists state this because they feel American consumers will be able to buy products cheaper. In fact..........what we Americans buy are CHEAPER IN QUALITY PRODUCTS! I always find it humorous when in the ruse of making our economy stronger, they claim by boosting corporation's financial performance it makes our economy stronger. Not so when the jobs are overseas! Well first I laugh..........then I get angry.[:@]

Don't forget, the worst part of it all is that you are NOT going to get any american's going into any technical field to make $6/hr as some shoe shining corporate lackey.

And in terms of "cost savings" ... when was the last time you heard of a CEO or board of directors ( many who are AA jobs or from hollyweird) taking a pay cut ?????

The ONLY company that I have ever heard of in the last 30 years that gained such employee loyalty that they would have killed for the owner was Kingston Memory. Other than that, most workers wouldn't *********** on any of them if they were on fire.

Well, my dad is the CEO of a major computer consulting firm and he recently opted to take a 50% paycut. He felt we had enough and he actually split up where his old 50% was going. Gave many people a 5-7% raise.

The Bush-Lay Letters
Correspondence suggests chummy President-Enron boss relationship

JULY 8--With the FBI slapping handcuffs on Kenneth Lay this morning, let's take a stroll down memory lane, when the disgraced former Enron boss wasn't under indictment and had a cozy pen pal relationship with George W. Bush. Below you'll find an assortment of correspondence exchanged during the years Bush was governor of Texas and Lay ran the Houston-based energy giant. The letters, released by the Texas state archives in response to Freedom of Information requests, touch on personal matters like Bush's knee surgery, Christmas gifts, birthday greetings, and even a Lay heads-up regarding a Thomas Friedman story about globalization. Enron, in case anyone forgot, was Bush's biggest Lone Star political contributor. (8 pages)

Oh, and lets not forget that China told Condolesa Rice that if the U.S. got involved in anything relating to Taiwan, they would retaliate....

Once again I run into what the lefties call a "neocon"....

When did I mention money before CORRUPTION ... ???

You are not conservative, you're a "posession pig".

You allow your personal ends to justify the means, anything, ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING as long as YOU PERSONALLY are fine.

I've beaten my demon, I won't sell anyone else out for a buck -- apparently you will.

Let's see............

You can work to change it!

You can move to somewhere else you'd prefer! (France [spit] maybe?!?)

Or.........you could sit at your computer and complain about it!
