Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default My Flag was stolen!

I have a flag that is mounted on the mail box.
Last night some SOB stole it, ripping it of the pole.
I called the Police just to tell them what had happened so maybe they could make some extra patrols in the neighborhood.
The officer ask if it was an American Flag? I said yes, and he said they would be right out and file a report.
I couldn't believe how concerned they were.
The officer was almost as PO'ed as I was.
Any police officers on here that have been alerted of this kind of stuff or is this a local thing.

well as the son of an police officer (which i am hoping to become eventually myself) i can tell you that it happens in alot of places, here especially. We had some of our flags stolen as well in the past. never did find out who did it though.

People are ignorant. Accept that fact, put up another flag, and put it in the past. And next time, shoot the bugger in the arse with a bean-bag! That'll learn em'!

We haven't had any flag thefts in my area. Sounds like either a scumbag or somebody who is too cheap to buy their own flag. Good for the cop for taking care of business. Hope they catch the SOB.[:@]

Argh, I would be fuming is someone stole my flag. [:@] Camping out with the shotgun doesn't sound like a bad plan, IMHO. The police probably won't be able to find any leads, but you never know. Good luck to you!

This was probably done by local kids. The only reasons to steal a flag is to get some cheap, juvenile thrills, or to make a political statement. Even with some people hating America, I don't see many adults going out of there way to pilfer decorative flags.
