I'm still a little mystified at this one. If an employer were to break a 17th century law, then how would modern penalties of $500.00 per infraction, or triple time pay be in effect.
In the 17th century FIVE dollars was a huge fine.
But at any rate, I'm a little disapointed that this thing was struck down so quickly...Just a little while ago I was explaining the finer points of this law to my boss, and almost had her convinced that if I did'nt go fishing at LEAST once during the week, and then once again during the weekend, then I would be in violation of the law.
