Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

We're there to bring down a sworn enemy of the U.S. and prevent terrorists from using Iraqi resources to further their war against us.

We are there for a variety of reasons. To overthrow a dictator (done that), to liberate a country (done that) Oil (getting that eventually), stability in the middle east, economic growth (everyone knows war = $$$ ) , put the fear of out God into the hearts of Muslims ............. a LOT of reasons.

Maybe 20 years we'll have 1/2 the Middle East evolving into Democracy Type govt's and thank GW Bush for planting the seeds, you know ?

I don't fret too much on the WHY we're there, only that we are, get the job done and get out. We're see progress for sure.

Too bad none of that is a reason to use our armed forces according to the constitution.

Offense is the name of the game. Defense did not serve us too well during the President Hillary years. Under her watch the 9/11 murders were set up. If the enemy does not have to worry and expend energy on defending itself than they can concentrate on offense - hence 9/11.
Iraq was the easiest and most justified foothold for striking the liberty bell in the middle east. We took it (God bless those who gave their lives) and now we are drawing out Al Queda and killing them all over. Other nations are joining in as well. (SAUDI ARABIA)
Saddam needed to go. He gassed the Kurds with WMD's didn't he? Where did the WMD's go? The weapons are there somewhere its not like it all balck top and neon signs pointing to the weapons. Saddam had the WMD hid and killed all who knew about it.
We should have given Saddam Hussein to the protesters, who paraded a week ago, to have him executed.

Maybe we invaded to prevent the mass killings of Iraq's people. Or maybe to end the tortures and killings, like throwing men into plastic shredders while their families watched. The lucky ones were thrown in head first, or maybe it was to stop the youngest Saddam's sons from abducting young girls off the street, raping and abusing them, and then feeding them to his lions. Maybe it was to help their olympic team, to keep their team members from being tortured, dismembered and then killed when they lost in competition. Maybe we went in to stop Saddam from cutting off the hands of small businessmen because the Iraq economy was bad.
Maybe it was to stop the wmd's which just about every senator (republican or democrat) agreed Iraq had before we went to war.
Could be we just wanted to stop the oil for food program that was making certain UN members rich along with Saddam and as a result starving the Iraq people.
Maybe we wanted their oil but if the democrats would agree to opening up our vast northern oil fields in alaska we wouldn't need their oil or if we had built enough gas refineries in the united states, the prices wouldn't be as high.
Does our constitution allow us to help a suffering people of another country? It allowed us to help England and France in two world wars when Hitler was killing people by the millions.

After we were attacked by ***an. little thing you might have wanted to include there.

Guys our President stated that even though Hussein was linked to Alqueda no link exists between 9/11 and Hussein.

Easist yes most justified not even close. The Hijackers came from Saudi Atrabia, are"ally"

And we sent rumsfield to shake his hand and give him a present of gold before he did it. We knew he had WMD along time ago. We didn't care he used them back then.

Sure they are that's why we pulled the troops trained to look for them and admitted we got bad intel.

this is a terrible thing but why do we care about it happening in Iraq and no where else. Saudia Arabia has religious police that go around and torture and kill too. Hundreds of thousands have been kille din the Sudan.

Let's be honest the reasons we were told didn't pan out. So we changed the reasons why.

Iraq does not = 9/11.
