Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Car hits three teens, tries to flee; crowd has other plans

Crowd Beats 2 People After Alleged Hit-And-Run Accident

While I believe in due process, there is something about vigilante justice that strikes a chord with me. I suppose it the old fashioned American spirit of taking care of business ourselves. I have no problem with these guys getting roughed up and then going on to face charges.

I guess the mob found him guilty by association. I'm still wondering what the two were doing zipping around a crowded street like that.

It sounds like the driver was drunk. The story doesn't say either way but you have to wonder if both the driver and passenger weren't drunk and maybe the passenger ran his mouth at the crowd. We don't know the whole story but I sure wonder about it.

Here's the story that the link takes you to. I highlighted certain sections.

Crowd Beats 2 People After Alleged Hit-And-Run Accident

POSTED: 10:04 pm EDT June 27, 2004
UPDATED: 10:40 pm EDT June 27, 2004

MILWAUKEE -- Authorities in Milwaukee said a crowd pulled two men from a car Friday night and beat them after the driver allegedly struck three children and tried to flee.

The sheriff's department said a car hit two 14-year-olds as they crossed a street. Then, police said the driver made a U-turn and hit a 12-year-old.
The sheriff's department said a large crowd surrounded the car, pulled out the driver and a 29-year-old passenger and beat them.

The two 14-year-olds remain hospitalized. The men were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and charges are pending. No one in the crowd has been arrested.

A witness said she saw the car swerve and drive the wrong way down one-way streets before the children were hit.

I have been in some countries where they would have been hacked to death with machetes!

Coastie,

I've SEEN them being hacked to death with machetes.

One man I saw after they had finished him off. Someone later drove over his head with a dumptruck. His brains splattered all over the road.[:'(]
