Now this could get interesting. The Turks tend to be a bit less muslimish when it comes to their own, now on the eve of a vist by the president of the U.S. I wonder how things will go down. These are not Saudis they are dealing with this time.
Might be a huge "mistake" by this al-zarqaui carracter, from what I've hear, the Turks are rather drastic with terrorists. I wonder what might go down in the rest of the Muslim world when the Turks bring their military in gear against this guy and his thugs. But then again, Turkey is a secular state, so in the eyes of the terrorist probably as bad as the west. Never mind, I'm rather sure the turks will proceed without political niceties.
Could be the spark that gets Muslim countries acting though, maybe, If the Turks show strenght the rest of them will start acting too.
Yeah, I don't think that was agood idea, Turks are a little testy when it comes to one of their own.
I think the real reason Pres. Bush is in Turkey is not for the NATO Training mission for the Turks, but to say just cool it, and we will give them to you. After all if we capture them alive, we can't treat them very badly, if you remember. American Armed forces embarass a few prisoners (still deplorable behavior) is is called "Torture", well what do you think the Turks will do LOL.
That's what they need to do is piss off the Turks.Them boy's are just waiting for somebody to fool with them anyway. If they still have the GURUKAS( sp.) They wont like it .LOL got to cut themself before they cut you.How much do you mean to one!

While the Ghurka's are some tough soldiers, they are from India, not Turkey. The Turkish Army and people are tough and highly respected in their own right though and a force to be reckoned with.
You are absolutely correct, I have associated them with the British forces and India for so long that I stated India. These are some of the toughest men I have ever met, I have seen them on their daily jog and training drill in Brunei and was truly impressed.
Yep, won't be today... probably won't be tomorrow, but one of these days (and with zero tv coverage...) there will be a few unidentified headless bodies found in Iraq. The bodies will look very much like the cell of terrorists currently kidnapping folks.
The Turks will stand back, shrug, and say they don't get involved in such matters.
What the US press is by in large missing is uncovering the reason for the stepped up terrorism on the eve of turning over Iraq to a free Iraqi government. One would think they'd like it if their aim was to get the US out of Iraq, because this is the first important step towards that goal. Perhaps they fear they will not be able to counter freedom?
