I suppose this shows that the Saudis are starting to take the fight against terrorism seriously, but I doubt this will persuade any wackos from turning themselves in to face life in Saudi prison.

To me, the best way to show the world how serious they are would be to allow the U.S. military to conduct counter-terrorism ops there. We are allies, aren't we?

I think this statement is aimed at appeasing the US etc ....when they start acting then I might believe it.

Realtor I knew in Florida had a son who was killed in the Khobar Towers bombing. We'll sit back and see what happens...no terrorist in his right mind will come in and turn himself in they will probably flee elsewhere is my best guess.

I'm a little skeptical but I understand that the terrorists are the biggest threat to the Royal family there is.

What's up with giving them a whole month? Why not a week or two? Do they have to prepare for the effort?

As I've made clear, I have nothing against muslim civilians. But the terrorists are international murderers and must be destroyed to preserve our safety and way of life, not to mention freedom everywhere. ) am really getting sick of this crap. These people can only promise so much before we start realizing that we've been getting burned over and over and over.

I guess the bottom line in my book is that this war has been going on for almost three years. We have to remain resolute for many years to come (perhaps many generations to come), but I can't stand sitting back and watching time waste when we could be killing or capturing more of our enemies. Every day that the Saudis don't kill a terrorist is another day that they have to plan mass-murder. Either mean what you say, or get out of the way.

what makes anyone think we would be better at fishing out the terrorists within Saudi than we are at fishing them out of Iraq and Afghan. I think SA has a better idea of who they are and where they are, but reluctant to do anything about it. Similarly, at our home, we know who the "mob" is, we just cant take them out according to our rules.
