U.S. to Give 'Legal' Custody of Saddam to Iraqis

I think the U.S. has made a very wise decision. We'll handle security so Hussein doesn't escape, and the Iraqis get a lesson in democratic judicial processes. As I said in a previous threat, trying Saddam in a U.S. led court will only cause more whining among Europe and the rest of the world. I'm quite confident that Iraq will serve justice to Hussein.

Anyway, it is their right and it should be their law that deals with Saddam and his gang. Nevertheless, I'm rather confident they will sentence him to death.


And one more thing, never mind what you see on the news, there are more than a few Europeans who 1) are with you on the war on terror. 2) wouldn't mind at all to see saddam make the drop to the end of a rope 3) would be with you in any other "taking care of" another rogue state. Politicians whine and moan and lie, but ordinary people vote, and some do actually think about who they vote for before casting a ballot.

Personally I think it would be right for Europeans to pitch in and stand with the US/UK and others on the ground, some are, but most aren't. I hope it won't take another terror attack to wake them up.

Slugman, if you choose to dislike or even hate me, please PM me and curse at me there, there is no need to dirty up this board. On the other hand, You might be suprised....Ok, we differ in opinion about how to deal with some issues, but so what? Realy, you'd be suprised. I'd like to offer you the folowing, lets talk about this calmly, if you prefer, privately. I'll explain my views to you, and I'll listen to yours. If you choose to hate me, so be it. I don't realy care if you do or don't.

Excuse me, for being a bit confrontational and rude in some posts towards you. I guess emotions can run a bit too high at times. And believe me, There are a great many Europeans who are as pissed off about terrorists as you are and think it was a good thing to get saddam. You can deny that, just as you can believe whatever you choose to believe. That is your right.

Just don't call me a hypocrit unless you can offer some arguments to it.
