iran has taken several british soldiers into custody after capturing them while they were patroling the perimeter of iraq .i saw this on the news channels and haven't heard anything since . in my opinion , it looks as if they're going to be getting involved in a big way soon , looks like another country wants some
any thoughts or updates ??
got to be careful with them though , with them being nuclear and all , which even the un is unhappy with them about , some tactical nukes should do the trick , i think we should use some of those babies in iraq too
I think Iran needs to get the message. They are sticking their nose in when they should not.
On a side issue. Remember when nobody was criticizing the war very much (before the demos made a campaign issue of it) and the rest of the world was treading lightly because they didn't want to piss Bush off? Now we are seeing the direct results of the demos, left, etc. bashing America and making us appear indecisive and unwilling to commit to finishing what we started. Sound familiar? Like maybe Vietnam? don;t think so? Vietnamese General Giap has recently said as much. NV would have surrendered if it weren't for anti-war groups like John Kerry's "Veterans against the Vietnam War", Fonda's support and other high profile Americans bashing our country at that time.

Iran is claiming that these British boats were almost half a mile into Iranian waters. What they were doing there isn't clear, but this wasn't exactly perpetrated by Tehran alone.
Just a cheap way of getting something to bargain with I think. Common, who is going to believe that Iran would care one bit about a coalition patrolboat a few feet off....that is, IF they were in Irans terratorial in the first place, which I doubt they were. For crying out loud, that country hardly has the means to draw a decent map of its own borders! They BUY maps from the Russian topographic survey.
btw, like they care about truth at all. They cause trouble, fund terrorists, promote the murder of all westeners, and certainly can do without a free and democratic Iraq in any shape or form. Iran is about the only country that would actually benifit from an instable Iraq. But last time I heard they had this problem about their nuclear programs? How convienient that some Brits walk right into their hands...
How do you call a nation that takes hostages? and didn't they do this before?
Right, thats not a country, thats a terrorist organisation.
I might just be a good idea to clean out the mullah nuthouse before they have both nukes and the means to deliver them.

Don't get me wrong, I think the Iranian mullahs need to be brought down...hard. Khatami's reforms have gotten nowhere because the religious nuts running the country oppose them. They are our enemy, if not militarily (which they are), then at least ideologically. And the cover up games with their nuclear program is absolute BS, same garbage that Saddam pulled.
All I'm saying is that these Brits should've checked their GPS a little more carefully. The coalition has been patrolling this river for a while, and this is the first international incident.
