The plan behind the Korean hostage is, I'm sure, to use him to get the Korean people up in arms against the U.S. Government and to bring pressure on their own government to stop supporting the U.S. The flaw within is that South Korea has much more to lose than does Spain or ***an. I haven't seen or heard how many ROK troops are in Iraq, if any, but I do believe that if there are any there, a beheading of a Korean will cause some bad things to happen to any number of the so called insurgents within Iraq. Those ROK troops are some bad people to have annoyed with you.

Coastie is right on this, the ROKs are not ones to mess with, in Nam they were the one group that Charlie rarely if ever messed with.
This beheading deal will sadly continue for a while, as long as these dirt bags demands are not met though it will end. They need to continue dealing with these terrorists like the Saudi's did with the last group, just kill them.

they are still sending the 3000 troops regardless......this was another attempt to keep foreign countries from helping .......Spain sent the wrong impression when they withdrew thier troops and bowed to al qeada. Good thing other countries didnt fold like Spain did.
