I must respectfully disagree. I have been saying for years that you cannot Legislate Morality (or common sense) and I am perhaps one of the most rabid anti-antis you may find short of FFYG. Morality is a personal issue learned at your parents knees and, perhaps, on your own.
No amount of legislation can make you a moral person any more than it can make you an honest person. All legislation can do is make an otherwise honest man a criminal, or as one of the myrmydons of Bill Clinton so aptly put it, "Stroke of the pen, law of the land....cool"

Coastie, notice I said "most," not all!
At least with legislating morality, you are punishing a particular moral crime, (not saying that it always works!) But with gun control, you are punishing the gun, and the honest gun owner, not the crime, or the criminal!

I haven't had mine yet. When I opened my Wildlife Control Business I went down to the local EPD office to check on a few things and the young lady there suggested I should get them, but when I asked if I'd have to wear a leather collar with one of those little milk bone shaped thingys on it she had a weird look in her eyes,.........pity really she wasn't bad all things considered. Blonde, blue eyes, 6'2" 235.................
