Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default 5 Monthes to go.

5 monthes to go before we decide who is going to lead our country for the next four years and this is how I see the main issues.

Gun Control

There both bad! Sorry if this ticks anyone off.

Crime

I give it to Bush.

Immagration

They both suck! Well I know Bush sucks on immagration.Kerry will say whatever.

Security of our Nation

I give it to Bush. Ashcroft scares me and I'm not willing to give up any freedoms to feel safe, but Kerry would totallly blow this one. We have to secure our ports and borders.

Bush [:'(] Still think he will do a better job then Kerry. Do I think we should have gone to the UN again. Nope.

Economy It's looking up but if we don't do anything about the price of gas,we're going to be paying out the nose for everything we buy. Which in turn will crush any growth we've experienced. We had damn well better get goverment spending under control. Anyone here any answers from either candidate on this issue?

So with 5 monthes to go I'm very diappointed that the best man for the job is GWB. Not because I don't like him. No, because so many of his policies are bisically liberal.

looks like out of the two evils, bush may get my vote. Even though I dont like his policies in Iraq, I like his attitude towards Terrorism...

Tough call...

I'm more interested in seeing how the congressional races turn out...congress has much more control of everyday "things" in reality than the guy in the oval office.

Other than satisfying the far left, I'm not quite sure Kerry has done much of anything. Not many bills brought to the floor, not too many novel ideas, not too much real footing to stand on. He hasn't announced any real focus or plan, I'm guessing he's waiting for the DNC convention.

His choice of VP may help dictate his run...

As for GW, I think we've covered him pretty well in the other two threads. Also of interest...GW has taken some pretty interesting stands on controversial issues...such as AWB, abortion, and immigration. He stands to land a large amount of Hispanic, Black and fence-sitter votes due to these views. I'm curious after his re-election if we will see a different, or the real, GW take over office for his final 4 years...

The main & overriding issue of all is National Security & the war against terrorism. The terrorists have declared war on our way of life, regardless if we're democrat, republican, white, black, red, green, or purple with pink polka-dots! Little else will matter if the terrorists have free reign to wage war against us on our soil on their terms. With the recent discoveries of real weapons of mass destruction in Iraq coupled with mounting evidence of Saddam's ties to terrorists, the decision to remove Saddam has been vindicated - even if most of the mainstream media does not want to acknowledge it.

Domestically, Bush has been great on tax cuts - they've worked, done great, keep 'em coming! Other stuff, like immigration, he could use some work. I'd sure as heck like to see lower gas prices; that is, however, a very complicated issue that I don't think will be solved by presidential edict. Our dependence on foreign oil (not just middle eastern, we import more oil from marxist-led Venezuela than any mid-east country), refining capacity, & onerous regulation for gasoline production & sale are the main factors affecting the price @ the pump. I for one am glad that the Bush administration has put effort into alternative fuel instead of worthless lip service.

All that, however, will mean nothing if we're under attack in the US. We were attacked on 9-11-01, something we should not forget. The terrorists will do it again & I've read where the plans are to do worse, if they ever get the chance. Don't forget the shootings in Maryland, where people became afraid to get some gas or go to the store. The strategy of pre-emption is correct, we must go after the terrorists on their soil & on our terms. The UN will not protect us, they will hang us out to dry because it's made up of mainly little despots who hate the US. President Bush is the only real, logical choice. Senator Kerry has stated that he will defer to the UN, which will open us up to terrorist attack. Kerry seems to care more about whether France, Germany or Russia "like" us than protecting the US from terrorists who want to kill us & our way of life. For National Security & the war to eradicate terrorism, Bush is the only choice.

The decision to remove Saddam has been vindicated? lol. That's a good one. I totally admit he was a bad man,but Saudia Arabia had more to do with 9/11 then Iraq. WMD,it's too bad we put so much faith in Chalaba(sp) his info was worth paying for.

As far as National Security and the war on Terro goes, how can we fight effectively until our borders are secured.

Bush for only 2 reasons:

1. His war on terrorism.

2. Kerry stinks!

Did you watch him yesterday or last night on Dateline ? GW is believable, he comes across genuine, honest and a man who does what he thinks is in the best intrest of this nation.

I don't see that in Kerry.

Question - You have to leave your small child with one of those two men to care for for a few days. Who do you trust ? George Bush and his wife or kerry and whoever his wife is ?

I trust Bush out of those two choices.
