After being a member here for alot of years, I feel that I know some of you pretty well. Some of you know me by name and I know som of you by name. I've developed friendships with some and made enemies of others. I know how some of you will react to certain posts and I know that some of us have arguments with certain others on a regular basis. How does that happen when the only thing we really know of each other is what it is that we put into words? I know the answer is pretty easy to come up with, but some here can't understand that topics we post is the only basis of information we give to others as to who we are. Does that make sense? I would guess that besides my screen name you all would see in my posts that I support the Second Amendment unconditionally. I would also guess that you all know that I am a Republican and I support our President. Not everything he does , but for the most part. I guess what I'm saying is. If people tend to post what they believe in, how do we not judge them according to those posts.

I was telling my girlfriend the other day...that you could line up 20 of you guys, and I could probably pick out who was who pretty accurately based on only what I know from their posts.
These posts are like a book of who we are. Some are false I'm sure, but as a whole I think people are sincere in posting what they believe, and you can get tones of how the person's personality is and how they would act in an actual, face-to-face conversation.

I go ahead and judge people...not in a bad un-Christian like way, but I think it is a fairly accurate representation of who we are, and how we are.

When you can sit behind a computer and with complete anonymity post your opinions in the privacy of your own home, I would say that with a little time and observation , a members posts is a pretty good reflection on what type of person he or she is. Knowing that... I am still waiting for the great first annual huntingnet dodge ball tournament...[:@]

Me too, buddy. You can have a spot by the fireplace at our deer camp any day. I'll even load you some shells. Grilled open-faces samiches for lunch and mahi mahi and delmonico steaks for dinner. We know how to live when we're at deer camp.
Fight4, there is some truth to what you say but you never really know anyone until you spend some real time with them face to face. What a person writes here or debates is done at their pace and with some degree of control and or intent. Not always but most revealing method of getting to know some one..
I have gotten to know some of the people here after meeting them face to face and have great respect for those individuals. The thing is I choose to meet them because of the relationships that developed here and other common interest.
I had no ides what they'd really be like when I first met them and they are all different than they come across here. All for the better I might add.
I know for a fact that one of the fellows was some what apprehensive went meeting me but it turned out that we shared many more ideas and values than one would ever have know at that point from our exchanges here on huntingnet.
We have some idea of what others believe, not always why they believe it and how well they type. I don't think it goes much beyond that point.

You know I agree that most of the folks here given a bit of time and conversation arouind a camp fire you could probably tell who was who, but there are a few folks here that I don't think would be at all like they post.
