Default No more river baptisms in park?

Thought this was interesting--does anyone agree with the decision?

Virginia Park Bans River Baptism

Seems like a clear cased of First Amendment violation, to me, as well as several groups listed in the article. Not sure what the park is trying to accomplish here, but I was surprised to hear of it, especially in Virginia of all places.

Why does it seem like there are just more and more people who have nothing better to do than ban, sue, and protest against anything and everything? Common sense hasn't just died. It was murdered and dismembered.

They forbid anything spontaneous? God forbid we don't get a permit to play volleyball? What a load of crap. They didn't want to tread on anyones rights? Same answer...phooey, anyone offended at the park could,a) turn their back,b) leave?

I watched a thing on the O'Rielly factor, he made good points that it's not a religous thing thes whackos are trying to get rid of it's a Christin thing, the'yll take away any symbolism of Christianity but they won't when it comes to any other religon.

I used to live in Fredericksburg, Va and I am so glad that I don't any more. Sorry Tazz. My wife was born and raised there. I felt like I needed to rescue her and show her that there are better places to live.

Who gives a gnats a$$ if someone is being babtized in a river or not. Besides as soon as they step in the river they are not in the park any more any how. It's not a land locked lake that is in the middle of a park it's a river. They may have accessed the river through the park but as far as I know the river is not part of the park.

The church should definetly take this one to the courts. Heck if the people in VA can't hunt on Sunday[:'(][:@] they may as well do something. But that's another topic.

Frankly, I am offended that all these people are offended. Can I sue someone or change some laws so I will be happy?

If this ban were in Milwaukee, I would back it 100%- it would prevent people from being baptized in poop.
