RE: Bush and Gas Prices
My parents took a trip to Ireland last March, and while they were there they rented a car into which they put fuel costing on average $5-$6 (USD) per Imp. Gallon. Granted, an Imp. Gallon is a touch more than a U.S. Gallon, but the price is still a LOT higher there.
WHY?
Because they have a bunch of A$$WIPES like John Kerry who tax the living crap out of everything, INCLUDING GASOLINE! I think that it's important to note that John Kerry supported raising the federal gasoline excise tax by $0.50/gallon. If Kerry had his way we'd be paying $2.50/gallon (here in Iowa) rather than $1.95. In Iowa we're blessed (surprisingly) with a fairly low tax (fed and state) of only $0.36/gal. Most states are a LOT higher.
It's all about taxation, and if Kerry gets elected you can bet your butt that he'll see to it that you pay a lot more...and you won't have to be "rich" to get screwed, either. Think about that the next time you put gas in your work truck.
