8x8bull - Another thread Charlie argued the logic behind killing a few of your own to protect what you believe in yet. He's also submitting that when US soliders break our written rules (in handling prisoners etc) that they are not longer supported by him (I believe thats what he was getting at).
We're doing exactly what those that beheaded that American are doing - fighting for what we believe in. We roughed up a few to get info - they sliced a man's head off for Muhammed - both sides doing what they did in the name of their cause
stealthy i think your way off base i mean those prisoners to my knowledge have nothing to do with the war and they are just regular theives. besides your saying its OK to stoop to the level of those that beheaded that american? i dont tolerate that kind of crap and i think that america is better than that. Isnt there anything else to get them to spew info besides having them naked and from what it looks like "doing each other"? i would think so.
I'm not, but I got buddies that are. War is war, there is no "nice" war. I agree that we shouldn't be barbarians - we shouldn't rape their women, we shouldn't shoot their babies, burn their villages or slit their throats on camera. Did we do that ?
No. We didn't. We humiliated 'em, we let them get pushed around by a woman in a uniform - one of THE most degrading things for a Muslim I imagine. I suppose a few have been roughed up, beaten, starved and subjected to a variety of tactics to squeeze every drop of info from them.

i gotta say you have some good points many of which was necessary but again i heard reports that some of these guys arent even insurgents or whatever you want to call them, they were simply thugs stealing junk. but dont you agree that if we are going to rough them up i dont see why you gotta videotape and take pictures? plus this isnt good for the good job our troops are doing.

Anyone who is shocked that in war things like this happen is very, very naive. We as Americans (our military) are capable of doiung what we deem neccessary to extract information or whatever ... in the case of the photos I wonder why it was all done but I aint going to question it too much - we're at war. I don't question those zealots beheading that American either because I know their cause - to kill Americans however and whenever they can.
