Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

I heard some of that general's testimony yesterday (I'm not even going to try to spell his name), and he used the word "influenced," as in the troops were not ordered to do this, but they may have been influenced. What does that mean to you?

somewhere down the line the orders had to have become diluted and open to interpratation. The man who did the investigation cited failure to supervise as a main problem at the prison ...this time too many indians and not enough chiefs

The whole thing stinks to high heaven. Even if they were ordered to abuse these prisoners from higher ranks wouldn't this be an order that someone with some sense would have questioned? I do think that it's probably true in some cases thought that a higher up ordered it.

The one thing that makes me think that someone knew what was going on is where did they get some of the "props" that they were using? I don't think a normal person would pack away a dog collar or leather mask in there overseas bag.

Kinda like , you dont have to do this , but we need someone to go out on a minesweep mission , which do you prefer ? that would "influence" me

Ifferd....".I think they were instructed from higher up (not sure how high) and then ran with it. So, I think its some of both - orders from higher up and also independent acts by soldiers"........... What do you have for a basis of this thought? What is it's foundation?

I don't think there is enough information out as of yet to draw a resonable conclusion.

So far this appears to be isolated, involves a limited number of persons and was repeated by the same persons several times at the same location. Further one of their peers turned them into someone of not the highest rank. There is certainly more to learn through the investigation and court martials but it is a bit early for a partial vericdict of the Higher Ups.

I would tend to lean in the opposite direction.at this early point but have an open mind. Im not saying you're wrong but would like to see the path of logic that got you to this belief.

Grab a$$ and one upmanship was more than likely the cause. All of them need to be punished.
