RE: PETA Protests Possum Drop
I caught this one back on New Year's Eve, and it didn't surprise me to hear PETA whining one bit. Typical extremism from unnatural animal-rights fanatics. My wife and I had actually talked about going down there just for the drop until PETA actually succeeded in stopping it as it was.
What surprised me was that the gas station owner caved to them. I know that no small business owner wants to be dragged into court because of some whining lefty and his/her vegan agenda, but who is PETA to demand the end to a perfectly safe local cultural event? No one gets hurt, the opossum heads for the trees at the end of the night. I was disappointed to say the least.
