Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Seeing the President on Friday

Bush is making a campaign stop here in little ole Prairie du Chien, Wis, going to stop at the Cabela's here. We're going to see him, hopefully I'll get to shake his hand. Secret Service is everywhere, wally world, the corner drug store, all the bars. Also told the cops to look out for some guy from Des Moines, IA. Is considering dangerous, has been making serious threats against George and his cabinet. My grampa is the chief of the volunteer fire dept, said that the SS is setting up sharpshooter nests all over. Anyways, hope i get to shake his hand, tell him that he's doing great and has most of us's support.

My wife got to meet him a few years ago when he visited the factory where she worked.
She got to shake his hand, and after realizing it, she ran back to her cubical and got a BUSH bumpersticker and got back in line. He kind of grinned at her when he saw her come up to him a second time, and he autographed the bumpersticker for her.

She says hes a real genuine and nice guy- nothing fake about him.

Then what would you say should be done after that? Should the UN go over there and steal more from the Iraqi's? Your probably not old enough to vote anyway!

DS_37,
Do you have your invitation? I know when bush or one of his minions show up around here, it's invitation only. No general public and definitely no protesters. He likes only friendly safe crowds.
My son in law and my Freeper friends usually get invitations. They are GOP party activist and donors.
Cheney and the misses are going to be at Wal Mart HQ this week, I'm keeping an eye out for an invite.

Rem 222- what you said was BS.

When the Pres visited my wife's workplace, it was a factory full of very democratic card carrying members of the UAW. Everyone in the factory was invited to see him if they wanted to- and there were probably at least 700 workers int he factory.

yeah, if you show up burning an effigy of GW, or are yelling some tired protest chant at him, I don't think you will get the chance to shake his hand. I can't blame him, if someone were hostile toward me, I wouldn't give them the time of day either.

Ask him if he would be willing to vote for Buchanan if he ran again.
