Will finding Noah's ark this summer prove God exists?
Due to the melting of ice on mount Ararat, there will be an exploration team going in to determine what may be Noah's ark sitting on top of the mountain. If they can prove it is a boat, which matches with the bible description of the ark in that location, what other explanation can one give to explain it away other than the biblical account of what happened (ie. building the ark at God's direction in anticipation of the 40 days and 40 nights of rain that would flood the earth). How else could someone know in advance that it would flood like that???
RE: Will finding Noah's ark this summer prove God exists?
To me it won't prove anything. History by definition means a recording of events. For all I know there could've been a hundred arks floating around the Middle East 5k-6k years ago that no one ever remembered. It may very well be the famed Ark of Noah, but can we really ever be sure?

I have to agree with Aught Six, but it sure would be interesting. I've always thought that God wants us to believe by having faith. Leaving unarguable evidence of many past biblical events would turn the world upside down. No matter what is found or can be proven as true to these events, we still have to have faith if we believe. I am not a deeply religious man, but I do have faith. I reiterate that God wants things this way..........He has his reasons.
