Looks as if the bush admin is backing out of Fallujah. Seems we made a deal with some former Iraqi Republican guards to patrol Fallujah. What happened to sending the Marines in to teach these butchers of the four contractors a lesson?
If we arm former Iraqi regime forces aren't we defeating our purpose there? Since our purpose there changes weekly it most likely will fit into bushes exit strategy.
Seriously I can see a big problem with this strategy. Looks as if bush is operating in desperation mode.
Couldn't agree more rem222. On one of the fox shows last night they were trying to spin it saying how this is the best way to go about it but I'm not buying it. Seems like pretty SOP for how we handle most problems in the middle east. Arm/train the "lesser of 2 evils" then have to go back years/months latter to dissarm/fight them

Rem 222
It's time you learned a little history. Dig up some books on the after actions of WWII and other wars and see how the occupation of these countries were handled. In fact look back into Roman history.
The one major mistake that this administration did make was not doing this immediately after defeating the Iraqi army. Put them on our pay schedule and have them handle matters.
It is about time that it is being done to some degree. It will be harder to sort things out now then it would have been but no administration is perfect.
As far as the murders of any of the recontructionist and our military, who said that nothing was going to happen to them or we are not trying to id them and apprehend them. You are making ASSumptions and we all know what that means.
Start thinking and don't let your venomous hate filled heart do your talking.

I listened to Bill O'Reilly on the radio yesterday afternoon. His opinion is.....pay off the top clerics, former Iraqi generals, bad guys, etc. and let them rule Iraq, then the U,S. ot get out! I don't know what to make of this except to say I don't want my tax money paying off any Iraqis. 10 years down the road we would possibly have to invade again......taking out another Suddam Hussein.
It seems that anyone who dares to question Bush or any of his strategies is automatically labeled a Liberal, Hate-filled, unpatriotic, terrorist, Gun-Grabber who hates our troops.
Jorgy, do a search and read some of his post. He replies or post like a 10 year old attempting to get attention in an adult converation.
Ifferd..."Bush or any of his strategies is automatically labeled a Liberal, Hate-filled, unpatriotic, terrorist, Gun-Grabber who hates our troops kid trying to get attention in and adult conversation." Nothing automatic if you are referring to my comments. You have been around here long enough to know better than that of me. I find that there are those that generalize about people they disagree with so as to be able to insult tham without addressing them directly, liberals and conservaticve alike. I find that cowardly and immature. If you were referring to me it applies to you. If not, who are you repling to in specific?
