Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

I don't think that any President actually takes a "Vacation" in the traditional sense.

He might be at a location other than the White House, but you gotta know it ain't all fun and games.

While the media calls it a vacation, Foriegn visitors, heads of state etc. are always coming and going from his location.

So...I don't really think it's a "Vacation".

Also..."Perception" is a big factor also. With the United States at war, the Presidents "perceived" ease goes a long way towards calming the public AND confounding the enemy.

Whether you realize it or not, America tends to "react" or "take their que" so-to-speak, off of the actions of the president and his close advisors.

I'm not just talking about President Bush,,,,But ALL presidents.

If the President is percieved to be nervous, scared, or confused, then the public would tend to be worried.

If the President is percieved to be confident, at ease and physically fit, then the public tends to have a little more sense of well being also.

I'm not talking about some deep thinking scientific theory, just basic perceptions.

Why do you think that Presidents make it a point to go jogging every once in a while...So the perception of good health is displayed.

The same line of reasoning holds true for many other things that Presidents do.

When they walk somewhere in a hurry and with their head down, then it is perceived that what they are currently doing is of importance.

Walking slow, with head high and a smile indicates some amount of "ease" and "confidence".

This is basic stuff here.

The President, ALL of the Presidents are constantly in the publics eye, so their actions are always being scrutinized by that same public. When he is at ease...then that feeling trickles down..when he is worried...then that feeling trickles down also.

Don't read to much into this,,,like I stated, it's pretty simple stuff that could very easily be "over analyzed"

You know,,,Its kind of ironic that you would bring that up...Fox news showed a portion of that clip just a little while ago...

One would not need very good skills of "Perception" to know that he was just told some very disturbing news...The fact that the camera zoomed in on his face to imortalize his reaction only strengthens my argument about "perceptions" in general.

I hope you are joking. I remember the geat and mighty fearless leader hauling tail on AF 1 and hopscotching around the country until they got the turds cleaned out of his drawers.
