Now let me start by saying that I really detest the show. My wife, however, loves it. So I always get to stay up to date with what is happening on the show. [:'(]
I get so tired of hearing the black race constantly yell racism, and this time they have REALLY taken it too far. You have a show where the people vote on who is going to get voted off and who will advance to the next round, and if a black person gets voted off the show is racist???? Give me a break.
So if Al Sharpton isn't voted for for president, America is racist then also, right?
I don't recall blacks having a problem when big fat Ruben won last year. I don't recall it being an issue when the first five people voted off this year were white, and when we got down to seven finalists and four of them were black. But all of a sudden, a couple of black chicks get voted off and it's racism rearing its ugly head?
So let me get this right: I am voting for my favorite entertainer. Some supposed judge says that the black entertainer is the most talented. But I think her opponent, who is white, is the best entertainer. So I vote for the white entertainer, and the majority of my fellow Americans feel the same way. That makes us racist???
Give me a break.

You get kinda numb to it, don't ya? I have gotten to the point to where if anyone screams racism, I automatically think less of them. I know that I should be caring and compasionate to their struggles, but I am not. IMO they are selfish.

absolutely LOVED Jennifer Hudsons voice - when she was voted off I lost much respect for the show. Why ? Because its turned into a popularity contest - like that Damn Joshua Gracin going to final 4-5 last year - what a joke ! He wasn't in the top 10 talent wise, but he was military and it was a feel good.
I'm wanting La Toya or Fantasia to go all the way - they're the best singers by far. How that red head got so far is amazing - his voice isn't great, he's too young and too raw and it shows in his singing /performance
Oh, and its not a racist show. I'm thinking its more anti-racist, only 1 white guy in the remaning 6-7 ?
Fantasia is BY FAR the most talented one. Her performance of "Summertime" was very professional. But she may not have the pop image. The red headed kid is a novelty. He really can't sing well at all. He should get voted off soon.
The black female voice vote was split three ways, so each got fewer votes because of the pool of remaining contestants. The red head took all the votes of people who not only like his voice or anything near it, he probably got the votes from people who liked John Paul Lewis.
I think the best singer they ever had was Tamyra Grey. I am pulling for LaToya to win, because I think Fantasia's voice is too nasal/whiney...

And I think the show is devoid of all entertainment value, especially now after they've let it drag on. I don't have cable, so thank goodness for hunting DVDs.
