Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default RE: political parties

Interesting info, thanks.

I've never even heard of 2/3rd's or more of the parties listed, though.

I personally find that I'm closest in ideology to the Libertarians myself. The only issue I strongly disagree on is abortion (they're OK with it, I'm not), and the main reason I'm against abortion falls right in line with the core Libertarian idea of personal liberty being paramount. To me an unborn baby is still a human being and therefore possesses the most sacred right of all human beings, that being that have the right to live. And the baby's right to live supercedes a womans (or anyone elses) right to do with her body what she pleases, because no one should be allowed to deprive another of their rights without just cause.

I know that Hip is a Constitution Party supporter, and I would be too if they weren't so far right that they scare me as much as the hardcore Communists do. Tyranny and oppression is tyranny and oppression, regardless of which side of the political spectrum it comes from. The only difference is who lives high on the hog, and who gets trampled.

Well put, driftrider (even if we disagree on abortion, but that's beside the point). One thing about the list that I found interesting is the number of communist/socialist parties. Based on the popularity of communism in the US, I guess that would allow for about one member per party, wouldn't you say?
