Here is my letter that I wrote to GW on campaign reform.
Anyone else written?
Dear President Bush,
First I would like to thank you for an outstanding first year in office. I respect the fact that you base your decisions on morals and conviction rather that politics.
I would like to ask you to please veto any form of campaign finance that allows incumbents protection from criticism. I firmly believe that the Democrats will benefit greatly over Republicans if this bill becomes law. When the people of congress were sworn in to uphold the Constitution, I think they should have to mean it. This bill is Unconstutional as it limits some people the freedom of speech between certain times of an upcomming election, but allows the left leaning media to say what they wish. This is political suicide for the Republican Party.
Please veto this bill, the American people don't want this infringement of their first amendment, check the polls. Most people that understand this bill are against it. I feel in my heart that it would be a great boost to your already high approval ratings to come out and explain this to the American people and and then VETO this bill. You will be seen as a true American hero, instead of just another politician. Vetoing this will NOT hurt your chances of reelection, only help solidify you as a true leader.
I really don't want this to have to reach the Supreme Court. You have the power to show the American people you'll do what is right for America, not what is right for politicians.
Thank You & God Bless You

Good job guys! Tomorrow being Presidents Day would be a good day to sound off in a big way.
Your letter sounds real good fight4yourguns...I may use it.
GW is in the Far East now, trying to straighten out the mess Clinton left him with the Chicoms...but he'll get the messages when he gets back.
