Default Cat torture/murder

vc, Priz and others, check this out and tell me if you agree with us that this is way out of line. http://forum.hunting.net/asppg/tm.asp?m=605533 I was truly surprised that some folks found this funny and even defended it! May as well defend "Snuff" flicks!

Yes, it is out of line. I'm surprised there hasn't been a riot in Britain if it has infact been shown there. The commercial with the pigeon was obviously fake and a good chuckle the first time I saw it, but this is a bit much. I was taken to task last fall on another forum here when a comment by a cat hater went over the line and I let them know about it. I know there are those that down right hate cats and others that hate dogs, but to take pleasure in the depiction of an animal being killed is perverse.

Gee Taz ,
should we all stop watching the Three Stooges too ? How about Tom and Jerry or Wile E. Coyote ? That ol' roadrunner sure gets a chuckle when he blows himself up . Maybe we should boycott Warner Bros. because Bugs shot Daffy again ...

Fantasy fellas , it was just fantasy . No connection to reality . I saw the same vid clip you did and loved it , it was funny to me and I love cats . Boiled mostly ... Mua ha ha ha ha ha ! j/k

I disagree.....humor comes in a lot of different forms and even in some "sicko" forms but it's still humor.

Coastie ,
have you watched any hunting shows or videos lately ? Did you take pleasure watching someone else put a bullet into Mr. Mega Rack or that old Boss Gobbler ? You don't hate either one , but you'll pay to watch someone else kill them on tape . Is the difference that they aren't "pets" ? I know folks who keep deer and turkeys as pets , but they still hunt both when they go to the woods . Are they hypocrites too ? Hypocrite is the correct term here , insulting though it may be .

What you and Taz are opposed to is nothing more than a live action cartoon , a series of images that exist only in cyberspace . They aren't real , no cats were actually harmed in the making of the ad .

People, I don't like cats at all....maybe even hate cats, but I don't like to see any living creature done in like that video, computer enhanced or not, I think that one was in poor taste. It just hit me wrong at the time !!! Cartoons are different, imaginary, made up, not real. Now I'm not saying that the video wasn't computer enhanced, but to the average person, it looks real....it just hit me wrong, that's all....a gut feeling that didn't sit well !!

Kevin don't you feel there is a minor difference in seeing an animal hunted to be eaten and depicting one simply being killed to be killed? Show a cartoon to a kid showing Wiley Coyote blowing himself up and no matter what their age they know it is a cartoon, not reality! Now show the clip of the cat in this discussion to a 6 year old and tell me they would think it was a cartoon, or would they think it was reality?

Hypocrite is the wrong word for you to use in this situation, there is a huge difference in killing an animal to eat and killing/torturing one just for sick pleasure!

Kevin show that clip to a 6 year old and see if they think it is fake!
