An Irritated Mr. President
I'm not sure if it was me---pretty tired this evening, long days the last week---but I sensed an irritated/angry tone in GW's voice and cadence this evening.
His statement was well-delivered, but during the Q&A I definitely felt his irritation, anger, and pain.
The only question he stone-walled, IMHO, was "do you believe that you and your presidency have not made any mistakes". And for that one, I have to agree with his tactic...the leader of the free world does not go before a primetime national audience and admit making a blunder to the entire world.
I particularly liked his analogy to the pre- & post- 9/11 American "war-front" mindsets...
I'm starting to feel his pain and frustration more every day, as although I may have some differences of opinion and direction for the future of America, he has earned my respect if nothing else.
Ketchup boy has lots of ground to make up...especially after this report emerges (about the Iraq weapons program) and, a big and, Iraq is turned over somewhat smoothly during the summer as planned.

I wish he would make more appearances and show more of what he is going through and has gone through as the man at the helm in the midst of an exponential change in the rules of war. Can you imagine trying to juggle all that he has to deal with, while some idiot tries to cajole you into focusing on ONLY what you've done wrong in the process instead of the progress that you've made in a little less than 1 YEAR?
How would like to wake up to the problem of having to stop the people around the globe that are bent on doing this:
