If you want to get the woolies, fly into Reagan International Airport in Arlington, VA. Go outside the airport and flag a taxi. Taxis are lined up about as far as the eye can see in a double line. It is safe to say that at least 75% of the taxi drivers are of Arab descent. I noticed it about 22 years ago when I got out of the U.S. Navy after a year in Saudi Arabia and went to work for a government contractor. My job required frequent travel to Arlington. I walked rather than take a taxi!! I was vigilant even then. I would be even more so now!!!

I think most Americans are fair and rational enough to blame the real perpetrators of crime...and not to discriminate against an entire group of people because of the actions of a few. As a whole, I have faith in the goodness of my fellow citizens.

I would like to agree- But when i see those involved in 9/11 etc blame there goverment instead of the terrorists.Or the firearm instead of the criminals actions etc, then i dont know about most anymore.

As for ppl attacking those who L:OOK like those responable i dont think so. Jews look the same as muslim terrorists , & so do many other ppl from the mediterranean& other parts of the world.
Maybe those who do nothing to denounce the attacks on america& americans& are thought to share the beliefs of the terriosts etc , then maybe .

I believe that individuals would be O.K. at least for the most part. There would possibly be individual acts of reprisal because we do have an uncommon number of idiots among us. I do wonder though if some of the mosques would be safe especially when you read about fund raising activities going on in them in support of the terrorists. Detroit and Chicago mosques have been mentioned and I must assume that other cities must be involved as well. Until the muslim community here in America decides whether it is more important to them to be Americans first and muslims second there can be no trust.

Coastie I know a lot of Christians (I for one) that put being a Christian before being an American. There are a lot of Muslims in the American Military, my son fought side by side with one in Operation Iraqi Freedam as a Marine.

I have a feeling that there will still be a small group of ignorant people that will exact revenge on innocent Arabs living in America, some of them may be second or third generation Americans with Arab roots, but the bigots out there will not care. Heck from some of the post I have seen here by a few folks I wouldn't be surprised if they wouldn't be among the attackers!
