Only one nation historically ever successfully dealt with terrorists.....and it included exactly what CODave just said.....it was the Roman Empire...they identified the source of terrorism and marched in legions of soldiers and killed everyone.....they salted their fields so that nothing ever would grow there again.....it's a horrible thing to deal with terrorists.....the choices are clear however........

What group of terrorist did the Romans have to deal with? Could it have been Christians?
ORIGINAL: CODave Drop leaflets...Give them 72 hours to leave. Then send hell fire on Fallujah... bulldoze it... take it off the map and remember it no more.
Boy Dave that's setting a good Christian example for these pagan Muslims.
Rem. 222
Oh so now we're setting an example? Huh. I thought we were over there to stop the threats against our country. Exactly what would your response to the terror attacks me, Rem222?

To blindly rush forth into battle is a good way to get your butt kicked.
There are a few things to be considered here;
The first one is, The events themselves could very well have been orchistrated to prelude an ambush in anticipation of us rushing in.
Second, Time is on our side...we have both the manpower and equipment to strike anywhere and at anytime.
Third, Remember, this whole thing was caught on film. Again,,,We have the leisure of time to identify "who's who" and target accordingly.
Fourth, did I mention that we control the time table over there? One of the benifits of a massacre like this is that it emboldens those who are sitting on the fence...thus exposing them.
And last, You've gotta know that the U.S, commanders in that region are not just sitting on their thumbs. Targets are being picked and prioritized even now as we sit here comfortably debating this.
Regardless of whether you care for President Bush or not...One thing is an absolute certainty. He said that there will be an overwhelming response to this attack...Given his track record on these matters, can you think for one minute that there won't be?
I think that would make more terroists. Sorta like when Isreal goes in and bulldozes houses. It just breeds more hate.
If you drop leaflets why would the terroists stick around? What would you accomplish? You'de blow up a binch of people's houses that didn't ahve anything to do with what happened.
How would you react if someone did that to your house?
Ben, My response to a terro attack would be to kill the people responsible for the act.
