Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Some true political quotes...

In general the art of government consists in taking as much money as possible from one class of citizens to give it to the other.
-Voltaire

Politicians never accuse you of "greed" for wanting to take other people"s money"only for wanting to keep your own money.
-Joseph Sobran

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
-Thomas Jefferson

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
-Thomas Jefferson, quoting Cesare Beccaria

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.
-Benjamin Franklin

The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.-Thomas Jefferson

If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?
-Frederic Bastiat, The Law

That government is best which governs least.
-Henry David Thoreau, probably others before him

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.
-Thomas Jefferson

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither safety nor liberty.
-Benjamin Franklin

... the Bill of Rights does not come from the people and is not subject to change by majorities. It comes from the nature of things. It declares the inalienable rights of man not only against all government but also against the people collectively.
-Walter Lippmann

As human beings, we all have certain unalienable rights. Of the rights we possess, we have a right to delegate to government. For example, we all have a right to defend ourselves against predators. Since we possess that right, we can delegate it to government. In other words, we can say to government, "We have the right to defend ourselves, but for a more orderly society, we give you the authority to defend us."
By contrast, I don"t possess the right to take your earnings for any reason. Since I have no such right, I cannot delegate it to government. If I did take your earnings for housing and medical services, it would rightfully be described as an act of theft. When government does it, it"s still theft"the only difference is that it"s legalized theft sanctioned by a majority vote.

If you"re a Christian or simply a moral human being, you should be against these so-called rights. After all, when God gave Moses the Eighth Commandment, "Thou shalt not steal," I"m sure that he didn"t mean thou shalt not steal unless there is a majority vote in Congress.

-Walter E. Williams, one of the greatest (and shortest) columns ever written

Dang...any thoughts on those quotes?

I got them from this website

Read the rest of them...there is way too many to post. But most of them are great quotes, by intelligent people before us.

Froman... great quotes.

I assume you agree with those?

Guess what... the guy who's website you got that off of...

He's Libertarian.

A college student in Georgia, very wise... obviously hasn't fallen for the Liberal propaganda that's typical in academia....

Here's his other Website...

Number three is my all-time favorite regarding the Second Amendment. I printed that on a t-shirt for my grandpa; he loved it.

My favorite one is "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.
-Benjamin Franklin "
